Gina
Before starting the Thinergetics program I was having tremendous problems with my knees. It
was extremely painful to walk any amount of distance and walking up stairs was just out of the
question. I had been to an orthopedic doctor and was told that there was nothing structurally
wrong with my knees and prescribed physical therapy to "strengthen" them. The physical therapy
worked for a time, but didn't really solve the main issue, which I was sure was my weight. In
January of 2006 my weight topped out at 198 pounds and I knew that all the pressure from carrying
around this large frame was putting enormous pressure on my knees.
In May 2006 I decided begin the Thinergetics program. I kept detailed notes each month of my
progress so I could gauge my results. Each month I recorded my total weight, and the total number
of inches for my bicep, bust, waist, hips, thigh and calf. As of October 9, 2006 I have lost 19.8
pounds and 11.25 inches.
The weight loss and inches lost is not what I find extraordinary. The thing that I have found
to be inspiring is that on September 17, 2006 I completed a 13.1 mile half Marathon to raise money
for the AT Children's Project, an organization that I am affiliated with. I was not even able
to walk a mile before my weightloss, let alone run a half-marathon.
In addition to participating in a marathon, I am swimming approximately 1000 yards twice a
week. Thinergetics has not only given me the tools to lose weight, but it has inspired me to
become athletic for the first time in my life.
